about

When I started making electronic music over a decade ago, I dreamed of having my music in the hands of other people. To give them experiences I got from my favorite albums. I thought perhaps labels were the answer. Or band mates. Or rules. Or anything other than trial, error, work, time, and reflection.

This album is a reflection on the past 12 years of my electronic music production. Some tracks and sections are new. Some tracks were previously released under the Rage Industries moniker, and original mixes can still be found online. For this project, I remastered and re-contextualized some of my favorite pieces, and sequenced them in a way that, I feel, tells a complete, emotional, story. a package as I would have loved when I was first diving into music with a headlong earnesty.

This album may be best listened to in the dark, on good headphones, at 75% volume. At least it is for me.

This album is heavily influenced by IDM greats Autechre, Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin, Rob Clouth / Vaetxh, Richard Devine, as well as artists such as Deadmau5, TOOL, Nine Inch Nails, Benny Goodman, Steven Wilson, Rush, Ominyx, Tomsghostband, Vildjharta, a_dark_horse_proper, and many more. I would not be here today without their music.

This work is dedicated to KS, MG, and LE, who have exited this act.
